INVISIBLE FORCES

Hallo super heros !! Do you remember the INVISIBLE FORCES: magnetism, buoyancy...?

Look at this exercise and write one example of each of these situations:e.g applied force to push a ball...what more can we do with applied forces with : the electric /magnetic/ etc force???

FUNCTIONS AND PARTS OF THE PLANTS

Well children, now it is time to remember the function of the plants: thanks to the photosyinthesis
they make possible to breath oxigen !  👇

So, complete this worksheet with the names and the function of each part because all of them are different but all of them are important💚

Body systems

Yes, Super heros, this is a text (=group of words) to test (exam) you 😊 !!!

Answer this exercise by matching the words: name of the system → function of that system.

GO FOR IT...YES, YOU KNOW SO: YES, YOU CAN !!

NATURAL SCIENCE.: Body systems

HALLO AGAIN, CHILDREN, LET´S BEGIN WITH UNIT 1 OF NATURAL SCIENCE!
Read your unit 1 from your book and try to write the names of every part of the digestive systme in this picture👇...and the function of it!. e.g. the mouth is to receive and chew the food .

Natural science review

Well, children, this is  your task for natural science today:

Look at these pictures and RECOGNISE  the elements taking part in every invention (= in the lever,  in the screw… in all of them):
- where is the load ? (in every picture the load is different)
- what does the effort consist in? (in every picture the effort is different to get the objective)
- what is the benefit of using each machine (different benefits) ?

HALLO AGAIN, CHILDREN!
We have finished Social Sicence, well done! Now we are  going to review Natural Science:
These are the answers to simple questions about MACHINES...do you remember?

Simple Machines TEST by Pocketful of Primary | Teachers Pay Teachers
Read About Simple Machines | Science for Kids | Grades K-5

And now...yes, think about one activity for each machine, example: a wedge to separate two parts...

SCIENTIFIC ANALYSIS

Inventions 2016: The Best of This Year | Time.com

Well, super heroes, now look at these objects for daily use. They are also inventions to make life more comfortable.
Your task for today will be to analyze the characterisitics of each one (=all) of them and to compare among each others, e.g. see pgs. 56 to 59 of the Natural book: is it the same matter (=material) in the light bulb as in the trainers?? Why do you think is it so?

Now, take a look on the list above and do the list of light/heavy material, transparent/opaque, flexible/rigid, etc...and explain why you think it is necessary to make some objects with those characteristics !

LENGUA 4º - LA CARTA

Me encantará leerla.

Space race: Inventions we use every day were created for outer space

Hallo again, children! How are you today? Weather is  improving, isn´t it?

Look at these photos of important inventions: the train and the space rocket.

Do you remember the CONTACT AND NON CONTACT FORCES? (pg.60,61  in your book).

Read about them and try to imagine what kind of forces are necessary to move these machines.

Inventions of nowadays

                                                            THE LIGHT BULB

Why the light bulb's invention was more slow burn than bright ...

Thomas Alba Edison finished the process of the light bulb that Alessandro Volta (from Italy)

began before. Scientists already knew that when enough electricity was passed through certain

materials, they would  heat up and if they got hot enough they would begin to glow. This

process is called “incandescence.” But with the incandescence, the bulb was burnt, so Edison

discovered the  materials to make a resistant bulb not to get burnt with the incandescence!

Juan de la Cierva (from Murcia, Spain ) was a Spanish aeronautical engineer who invented the  helicopter/autogiro,  with a freely rotating rotor.

Isaac Peral   was a spanish engineer  who invented and built the first electric battery-powered submarine, to travel inside the ocean for the Spanish Navy. It was the first  submarine with the first electric battery-power.

And these inventions are related to volume, mass and velocity you know!!

Isaac Newton and the Gravity

When Isaac Newton was sitting down under an apple tree,

he felt an apple falling down and began to investigate the situation:

the velocity of the falling, the mass of the apple...and he discovered

THE LAW OF GRAVITY

which is a law existing all around Planet Earth

and it is the reason because everything and eveybody falls down

if we are not careful enough!

And...why is it important ?

Because thanks to this Law,

we can know how quick people or objects will reach the ground

when they are falling down.

do you remembe, children, the volume and the mass?

so, when something has got more mass, it will reach the ground quicker.

Do you remember the ballons in the class?

Balloons vector. Realistic Flying Birthday helium balloons ...

They fall down slowly because they don´t have a lot of mass!

But...

ruler en español | Traductor inglés-español | Nglish de Britannica

the ruler falls down quickly because it has got more  mass than the baloons!

Yes, Super heroes, yes: this is the Law of Gravity!

Archimedes screw

Low placeHigher place

ARCHUIMEDES SCREW

It was an invention to transport water to a higher place
so people didn´t have to carry it individually.

Read pg. 74 from your Pupil´s Book about this invention.

Look at the picture  above:

Can you see the grey tube? Can you see the blue-white pipe sorrounding the tube?

At first momento, the pipe is empty, but when we push the tuve to make it rotate, water comes

inside the pipe and goes up and up with the rotation of the tube.

It was a wondreful device because water is very heavy and there were lots of poeple  and animals to trannsport it into containers before Archimedes invented that !!

Natural Science home work

As your home work, Super heroes, look at each of these instruments and try to find in what part of them we have the load, the fulcrum and the effort we do to use them! For example, in the second picture (nutcracker) we apply our effort on the handles, circle 1; and the load is the nut (almonds, nuts...) we put to open, circle 2; the circle 3 is the fulcrum.
