ARCHUIMEDES SCREW


It was an invention to transport water to a higher place
so people didn´t have to carry it individually.


Read pg. 74 from your Pupil´s Book about this invention.


Look at the picture  above:


Can you see the grey tube?Can you see the blue-white pipe sorrounding the tube?


At first momento, the pipe is empty, but when we push the tuve to make it rotate, water comes


inside the pipe and goes up and up with the rotation of the tube.


It was a wondreful device because water is very heavy and there were lots of poeple  and animals to trannsport it into containers before Archimedes invented that !!
